 Name: Frodo Baggins Race: Hobbit Actor: Elijah Wood Aliases: Mr. Underhill, Frodo of the Shire, the Ringbearer Appears in: FotR, TTT, RotK Movie Bio: Nephew of the great adventurer Bilbo Baggins, Frodo inherits from his uncle the One Ring of Power. Realizing the evil that it can bring, Frodo takes it upon himself to bring the Ring out of the Hobbiton and away from the peaceful folk of the Shire. As he takes the Ring to the Elven refuge of Rivendell, Frodo is hounded by the Ringwraiths, servants of Sauron, to retrieve the Ring. In one of the worst confrontations with them, Frodo’s resistance to surrender the Ring nearly costs him his life, but was saved by the healing powers of Arwen and Elrond, Lord of Rivendell. Unbowed, Frodo volunteers to carry out the formidable task of taking the Ring to Mordor for its destruction. Along with eight other volunteers he sets out from Rivendell to fullfill his mission but with every step towards Mount Doom the quest became more and more diffult and things more then often turned for the worse. Frodo found himself seperated from the Fellowship save Sam, his loyal Gardener, when Boromir, a noble member of the fellowship, succumbed to the power of the Ring. On the way to Mordor, both hobbits encountered the creature Gollum, who is now leading them to Mordor itself. They have yet to reach their destination.
