After being separated from Frodo and Sam at Amon Hen, Legolas joins with Gimli and Aragorn in pursuit of the Uruks who have captured Merry and Pippin. He fought in the battle of Helm's Deep and will join Aragorn on the Pelennor Fields at the end of RotK. The shaft of the arrows were stained a dark brown and fletched with feathers stained brown and rust. The quiver was brown and accented with gold. In Lothlorien, he is given a longer bow such as the Galadhrim used. The arrows are stained green and the fletching is a lighter green with a distinctive notch. The quiver bears a peacock design. Legolas also carries twin white handled knives on his back. At Helm's Deep, Legolas dons leather armour and uses a Rohirrim sword.
