My Ring! Ahaha

Have you ever wanted to make up a character in Lotr. Like your character would be one of the Fellowship's. I think it would be cool to have your own character in lotr. Would your character ever want the ring? I mean I think it would be kind of cool to go invisible and dissapear and stuff. Anyway that's just my opinion. My character will steal the ring ahahaha. lol anyways just to make up characters lol sounds like fun.

My characters name is Cathara, she is 19, female, Rohirran. She is tall, long kinda-blonde-brown hair. While she is Rohirran she was raised out in the wilds and is a friend of ents and dwarves. She uses a scimitar styled sword and wrist daggars. Has no special powers really, can talk to trees a little.

Well everyone tell me about their character! We could start a story .

Oooh, oooh! Okay, I was rather fond of my character in the RPG's thread, so I'll keep the name. It's a fun name.

Name (Full): Caladiel Galuwen (Sindarin, meaning "daughter of light, maiden of blessings") People call her Callie for short.

Age: about 16

Gender: Female (and very proud)

Race: Rohirrim (Man)

Appearance: About 5'2", red hair that is about waist long. She normally braids it and winds it about her head. She has a wiry frame but is very strong. Her eyes are a deep blue that are almost black.

Backround: She was orphaned as a young child and some passing Elves took pity on her and took her back to Lothlorien and raised her. There she learned Elven grace and Elvish (both types), along with how to use a sword and a bow and arrow. Because of this she is very skilled in battle.

Weapons: bow and arrows, an Elven blade given to her by Haldir, a sword made by the best blacksmith in Rivendell with Elvish inscriptions, and a dagger given to her by an Elf who wanted her affections (she wouldn't give them) named Ortherion.

Special Powers: She can walk very quietly (like Elves) and has near-Elven hearing.

Background: I grew up in Minas Tirith and I still think it's pretty dull. Buuut I have a crush on the Steward so I manage to keep myself mildly entertained.
Weapons: my whip, to be used (with zeal) on all those who misbehave
Powers: superadolescent cynicism and obsessiveness

My character thinks evil gold jewellery is tacky.

Age: 220 (yeah, not my real age but I don't wanna be a baby elf!)
Gender: Male
Race: Elf (Noldë)
Description: Average height; (for an elf) slender and quite handsome with grey-green eyes and long dark hair bound with a silver ring.
Background: Raised by obscure Noldë parents living somewhere in the ruins of Doriath, left home a few decades ago to explore Arda. Is prone to wandering around Middle-Earth looking for fun and profit. Recently seen in Gondor looking for a good adventure or two.
Weapons: A sword taken from his home ruins, two sharp daggers of the same origin. And a steely glare--does that count?
Powers: Nothing out of the ordinary: very good with the ladies (especially mortal women who throw themselves at him) but a fierce fighter and a good ally to have.

However, if this turns into an RPG going anywhere near Rivendell, let it be known that I have first dibs on Celebrian, my first choice for a *real* character. Maybe we could have one canon person and one made-up person that we play? lol

My own legal Mary Sue? Fun!!

Name: Phëdriel, what else?

Age: Unknown, even to her.

Gender: Female

Race: Elf. Sort of. (Loosely, she's an undead Teleri)

Description: Erm... It depends. She has a shimmering grey cloak that she always wears, which makes her look just like a normal elf. Dark hair, dark eyes, pale skin. If she takes it off then she looks quite a bit different... Pure black hair (Doesn't even reflect light) and black eyes with no whites or pupils or anything. Oh, and she has dozens of horrible scars all over her body, but you can't see them with the cloak on Also very beautiful... She is a Mary Sue after all!

Background: Phëdriel is the scribe of Mandos, the Vala of death. Originally she was a Teleri, but she wasted from greif when her lover was killed by Fëanor in the kin-slaying. After that she became said scribe, which she did until recently. After that... Well, you really don't wanna know, but very basically she ended up back in M-E. So she's alive, but she has died before.

Weapons: She has a black sword named... Well, I haven't decided yet, but it has to be named something.

Powers: She knows at least something about just about everything.

I like the fanfic style, too, I'm not very good at it though.

Okay, here we go! Basically, Galadriel and Celeborn recieved word from [Agent] Elrond to send someone to join in the Council of Elrond. Knowing that they needed all the other Elves and that Caladiel was eager to leave the forest, they chose her. So basically, she's getting ready to leave.

Caladiel smiled at the Lady of the Galadhrim. "Thank you for allowing me this honor, my lady," she said, bowing.

"Nay, for it is time you left Lorien. You need a man in your life, Caladiel," Galadriel replied.

Caladiel's eyes widened. "Nay! I am but sixteen, still a child in Elven eyes! Also, I can care for myself! I am tough!"

"You are tough, but you are naive."

Caladiel tried her hardest to hide her frustration, but it showed through. "My Lady, please allow me to leave," she said tersely.

"You may. Go now, Caladiel Galuwen, and know that you have my blessing."

Caladiel smiled and bowed again before hurrying off. However, she was stopped by Haldir and Ortherion.

"Callie, I have a gift for you," said Ortherion. He pulled out a dagger and presented it to her. It was shiny and very, very pointy, with a white bone handle and Elvish inscriptions on the blade.

"Ortherion, it is beautiful," she whispered. "But I cannot accept it, not as a gift."

Haldir, who ranked above her, looked at her sternly. "Then I order you to accept it not as a gift, but as something that might come in handy on your journey."

She nodded silently. "Goodbye, Haldir," she said quietly. "Goodbye, Ortherion," she added, pecking him on the cheek before running off. If she had looked back, she would have seen him rubbing his cheek in awe.

She ran until she was almost out of Lothlorien; near the Nimrodel. Knowing that there was a flet nearby, she looked until she found it, before hoisting herself up into the tree.

The flet was empty and all was quiet, so she decided to spend the night there. Quickly she discarded her dark green overtunic, revealing the lighter green shirt underneath. She also wore black boots in the style of men and dark brown leggings. She carried an Elven blade given to her by Haldir on her fifteenth birthday, a sword made in Rivendell with Elvish inscriptions, and a bow and a quiver full of arrows. She was ready for anything.

She slept soundly and in the morning she ate some lembas and bathed her face and feet in the Nimrodel before heading south to Rohan and Fangorn.

Description: Long wavy dark hair worn in a half-braid. Bright blue eyes and pale skin.
Background: Daughter of Beregond and sister to Bergil (if you don't know who these two are, go read RotK. suffice to say that she is the daughter of a noble guard of Minas Tirith.) She is a friend to both Faramir and Boromir.
Weapons: sword, bow and daggers. her main weapon is the sowrd (elvish of course ), but is all right w/ a bow.
Powers: She can sense feelings. Not exactly like elves (sensing evil and stuff) but more of what people feel. Can also tell excellent lies and see through the lies of others.

Faramir struggled, swinging his sword trying to pierce through her defenses. He tried to take advantage of every hole, every weak spot. But he was always blocked. He began to swing harder and faster and advanced on the girl. She let him advance, but slowly turned him around. And then, suddenly, she took the offensive, pushing Faramir back. He blocked her every time, but he also failed to see the low wall behind him. When he tripped, Annundil easily disarmed him and pointed her own sword at his throat. The laughter that had been held in her eyes suddenly burst from her throat. She turned and bowed to the spectators; her brother Bergil and Faramir’s brother Boromir.

The fallen second son of Denethor sheepishly rose from his recumbent position, whil Boromir laughed.

“She got you that time, Faramir. There’s no denying it”, Boromir said.

Faramir only smiled and half-heartedly punched his older brother. He then walked over to Annundil and held out his hand.

“Good work, Annundil. I believe you have won the joust.”

Annundil smiled and reached toward Faramir, and promptly found herself lying on her back, looking up at the sky. She swiftly stuck out a leg and tripped Faramir, once again bringing him to the ground.

Everyone laughed, including Faramir. The two friends tried to stand, although they kept collapsing with laughter. Finally however, they were standing upright and walked over to where Boromir and Bergil were sitting.

The four talked about anything and everything. It was their daily ritual. However, this time their session was interrupted by a messenger boy.

“My lord Boromir, your father wishes to speak with you. Lady Annundil, he requests that you join him also. And he bids you hurry.”

“Who are we to refuse the Steward?” replied Annundil. “We will go at once.”

Boromir and Annundil walked through the layers of the city until they came to the very top. There, they were told that the Steward was waiting for them in his study. When they cam to the room, Boromir knocked and they were admitted.

Denethor sat inside surrounded by piles of parchment. He and Boromir seemed to have some prior conversation, as Denethor gave Boromir some instructions for his journey. Annundil was puzzled, for she had heard of no journey, but did not let her emotions show. Denethor dismissed Boromir and slowly turned to Annundil.

“Watch over Boromir, Annundil. If something happened to him, I would not know what to do.”

Annundil was quite sure that boromir could look out for himself, but she smiled and accepted the mission. The next day she saddled her horse and bid farewell to Bergil and Faramir. She noticed Faramir was sad, although he put on a cheerful face. She embraced him and whispered, "I will come back, and I will bring Boromir with me."

Annundil then swung herself up on her hose and rode off with Boromir.

Race: Elf. Nolde.
Description: Tallish. Black hair. Grey eyes. (Piercing, even.)
Background: Begins Mary Sueist twisting of canon. Born in Valinor, shortly before the kinslaying. Loved her older brother (Celebrimbor), father, uncles, and grandfather very much. Is quite prideful. Stayed with brother throughout her time in Beleriand and the second age, up until his death. Happened to be at the Havens when the city was destroyed, though, and hung about there for a while with 3rd half cousin Ereinion. After his death moved to Rivendell (having a general dislike for most things Galadriel, including but not limited to Lorien. ) Occasionally rides about on her own, doesn't really care much about anything non-Elvish. Loves making pretty silver things. And pretty mithril things. With pretty pearls.

Weapons: Can use a sword or bow if necessary, but would rather talk than fight.

Powers: The largest grudge in existence against Sauron. A similarily large grudge against Isildur.
