Question about the ME Galleries..
I've been wondering about the ME Galleries.
I click on the link to the galleries, but it goes to a white page with the following text: "Server crashed. Orcs ate it.  We'll be back. Check front page at http://www.council-of-elrond.com"Im not sure if it's only happening to me, or if i need permission to enter the galleries. That or the galleries are not up yet or it really did crash and it's a bugger to fix. Just'a'wondering

Naw, it isn't just you. It's broke. We have a crack team working around the clock to rectify the problem.
Well, not really a crack team working around the clock.... would you believe an reasonably adept team spending the biggest part of the day trying to make it work? No? how about a troop of brain damaged baboons glancing at it once in awhile? Well, maybe not a whole troop of brain damaged baboons, but at least one mangy spider monkey is on the job-oops, this just in! The mangy spider monkey died. However. rest assured that we are taking applications for competent simians who are willing to create a link to a gallery at TORN. Of course, we aren't picky and will settle for a team of naked mole-rats.

Hmmmm.... it might take a bit, I suppose. Our crack team is amazing, but sometimes (these days) Real Life is getting in the way.
 I am sure it'll be back up as soon as possible - but that might not be in the next few days - as you might have guessed from this thread.

Real Life never get in the way and they do it for free.

As far as I am aware, the most extensive gallery of Tolkien art (published artists and fans) can be found at Rolozo Tolkien which is hosted by theonering.net.
As far as I can tell, this hasn't been updated for some time, either - but there is a *lot* there!!! I'll have to dig round a bit more if you are primarily interested in film stills....

hmmm....I hope they get it working soon....I've been trying to check out the galleries for the longest time and actually was about to post something about it myself...
